Role Overview:
We are urgently seeking a skilled and experienced Roofer to join our solar installation projects as a subcontractor. The successful applicant will be responsible for safely mounting solar racking systems and panels, ensuring waterproofing and roof integrity across tile and metal roofs.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare roof surfaces and install racking/mounting systems for solar PV
Handle tile, metal and concrete roof types (cutting tiles, replacing, sealing)
Completing DC runs to inverter location
Work closely with solar electricians to complete installations
Maintain a clean and safe work site
Adhere to NSW Work Health & Safety Regulations and Safe Work at Heights codes
Comply with AS/NZS 5033 and other solar installation standards
Requirements:
Proven experience as a roofer in solar PV installations (minimum 1 year)
Must have own tools, transport, and PPE
White Card (Construction Induction Card)
Working at Heights Certification
Public Liability Insurance (minimum $10M)
ABN required
Strong communication and time management skills

Pay: $28.35 - $40.39 per hour
Expected hours: 24 - 50 per week
