Job Description:
This is a key role within the finance team, responsible for providing financial management support to schools and colleges across Central Queensland.
Key Responsibilities:
* Training and supporting principals, finance officers/managers in schools and colleges on all areas of financial management.
* Supporting end-of-month reconciliation, reporting, and analysis processes.
* Preparing and submitting school and college forecasts and budgets.
* Liaising with external auditors as required.
* Performing internal audit functions for schools and colleges.
* Ensuring Goods and Services Tax (GST) compliance in schools/colleges.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess relevant tertiary qualifications, experience or equivalent knowledge in accounting and financial management. A strong understanding of financial operations, as well as excellent communication and technical skills, are essential for this role.
Benefits:
This is a full-time contract position for 40 hours per week, based in Rockhampton with some travel required.
