Hotel Maintenance - Handy Person - Emerald

If you take pride in your work, enjoy hands-on maintenance, and have a strong eye for detail, this role will be a good fit. You understand that well-maintained facilities are essential to a positive guest experience and you take responsibility for the quality and presentation of your work.
This is a vital role in maintaining the overall standard and reliability of our accommodation. You will carry out day-to-day maintenance, promptly identify and resolve issues, and help ensure the property remains safe, functional, and well presented. A professional, service-focused approach when dealing with both guests and staff is essential.
Australian work rights are required for this position.
Main Responsibilities
* General repairs within the property including guest rooms, common areas and building
* Knowledge and experience in Painting, Plastering, and Carpentry
* Co-ordinate and negotiate with outside contractors
* Oversee contractors work to ensure a high standard and quality is maintained
* Maintain a preventative maintenance schedule
* Perform regular maintenance tasks & inspections of the facilities
* Liaise with guests and staff on maintenance issues and the progress of works
* You will be efficient and cost conscious
* You will contribute to a workplace health and safety environment
* Experience in the hospitality industry is considered advantageous.
* Calmness and proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* An eye for detail, professional personal presentation, and good organisational skills
* Reliable & Punctual
* Casual Position - Minimum 20 hours per week
* Immediate start for the right applicant
