This is a temporary full-time opportunity from date of commencement for a period of 6 months. 
Join our team as a Legal Support Supervisor (Bail) and play a vital role in preparing bail applications in the Supreme Court. 
As the Legal Support Supervisor (Bail), you'll assist your team in preparing and presenting Bail Applications in the Supreme Court, ensuring accuracy and professionalism every step of the way.The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) is a vital part of Queensland's justice system, representing the State in prosecuting criminal matters across courts such as the High Court of Australia, Supreme Court, District Court, and more. 
Our work addresses complex and sensitive legal matters, ensuring justice is upheld with professionalism and integrity. 
ResponsibilitiesPreparing and managing bail files for all Supreme Court bail hearings, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Maintaining a detailed diary of bail hearings to support efficient scheduling and case management.Supporting and instructing Legal Officers and Crown Prosecutors appearing on bail hearings.Processing requests for variations to existing bail orders under supervision.Creating and managing bail files, ensuring all documentation is complete and up to date.Preparing monthly statistical reports to track and analyse bail-related activities.Providing copies of prosecution materials to defence counsel in a timely and professional manner.Recording results from finalised bail hearings and ensuring accurate file closure.
