About Us

Myimbarr is a fully accredited Aboriginal Out of Home Care & Family Preservation service based in Wollongong. We are dedicated to ensuring every Aboriginal child and young person has a loving and supportive home, whether that be with their parents, extended family, kin, or through other carer arrangements.

What We Do

At Myimbarr, we empower Aboriginal children, young people, and families through culturally situated, trauma-informed casework. Our service is growing, and we are actively welcoming new team members to help us support more children and families in need.

The Role

We are seeking a Aboriginal Casework Support to join our supportive and dedicated team. This role is open to Aboriginal applicants who are passionate about making a meaningful impact in the community and looking for a starting point in their casework career.

What We're Looking For

* Aboriginality is a must have requirement
* Diploma qualification in Social Work, Community Services, or a related field ( or a willingness to obtain/ currently working towards completion).
* Experience working in Out of Home Care, Family Preservation, or a similar child protection-focused role is desirable but not essential – we provide extensive training
* Ability to build positive relationships and provide strong casework support to children, young people, and families.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills (both verbal and written).
* A full driver's license.
* Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) & Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
