A significant energy retailer is looking for their next Collections and Customer Service Officer, located in South Melbourne starting ASAP
**Your New Role**
You will be responsible for managing customer accounts, answering billing enquiries, and negotiating payment arrangements. You will also work with customers who are experiencing financial difficulties to develop payment plans that work for them. In addition, you will be responsible for managing the collections process for delinquent accounts, working with customers to bring their accounts current, and escalating cases as necessary.
**Your responsibilities**
- Managing incoming calls and customer service enquiries by identifying and assessing customers' requirements
- Planning and implementing a course of action to recover outstanding payments
- Negotiating pay for deadlines or payment plans
- Overseeing, handling and answering questions or complaints
- Using CRM systems to keep detailed notes regarding conversations with customers and outcomes
**What you need to succeed**
- Collection's experience is a MUST
- Customer service experience in a call centre
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Energy Industry experience in same or similar role (Desirable but not essential)
