Senior Category Manager General Insurance & Care (GI&C)
Lead and direct the provision of procurement services, including planning, sourcing, contract and risk management activities to meet the business needs of the GI&C division in icare. General Insurance and Care are responsible for the insurance for buildings, construction and community of NSW government assets, and insurance and care to support people who are injured on the road, playing sport, or volunteering.

About the Role
The is a senior procurement role that will act as the 2IC to the Head of Procurement. This role is responsible for developing, leading, and executing sourcing plans and activities, based on research and analysis to optimize value-for-money outcomes and meet stakeholder needs and expectations.

Duties
It's an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as the Senior Category Manager (GI&C) you will:
Lead and manage procurement activity and cross-functional teams to successfully deliver procurement business plans and achieve optimal outcomes from procurement activity.
Apply the procurement governance and risk management framework to monitor compliance, manage risk and improve procurement activity and performance.
Lead procurement activities, including negotiations on high impact, complex supply arrangements and contract issues to deliver better category outcomes.
Provide expert advice to key stakeholders on all aspects of procurementto encourage innovative practices and support delivery of business and policy directions.
Develop and implement procurement plans and strategies to meet business needs, enhance stakeholder engagement, and challenge and motivate providers to optimise service outcomes.
Skills & Experience
8+ years experience in a commercial procurement role
Extensive experience managing large enterprises and stakeholders, large spend and complex business categories.
Tertiary level qualification in relevant discipline or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through practical experience.
