About the role
The Payroll Officer role is responsible for providing support in administering all areas of payroll processing including data entry, data checking, reconciliations and responding to employee queries in an accurate and timely manner.
* Perform accurate and timely payroll processing in SAP SuccessFactors and Workforce T&A
* Validate and reconcile pay data prior to pay runs
* Payroll first point of contact for payroll queries, escalate as appropriate
* Conduct fortnightly and monthly reconciliations for pay run, super, PAYG, Maxxia and payroll tax
* Prepare and validate termination payments
* Calculate leave audits
* Process payments / deductions for employees
* Prepare payroll report requests & assist with audits as required
* Maintain employee records in compliance with legislation and company policy
* Support colleagues and participate in ongoing training
What you'll bring to the team
* Previous experience in payroll, preferably in the mining and resources industry
* SAP SuccessFactors / Workforce time & attendance experience highly regarded
* Able to prioritise and work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to remain calm during busy periods
* Able to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative
