Communications & Stakeholder Relations Lead
Founded in ****, Phosphate Resources Ltd (PRL Group) began on Christmas Island as a community effort to sustain local livelihoods and preserve the legacy of generations of islanders.

Our recent acquisition of the Ardmore Phosphate Mine in Queensland strengthens our position as a leading player in the phosphate and resources sector.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Communications & Stakeholder Relations Lead to strengthen relationships with the local communities where we operate, Traditional Owners, government agencies, media, and industry partners across WA and QLD.
Based in Perth, this role involves regular travel to Dajarra, QLD and Christmas Island to maintain a visible and trusted presence in our operational communities.
Reporting to the Head of Public Affairs, you will lead community engagement initiatives, manage sponsorships and donations programs, and oversee internal and external communications that promote PRL Group's values, reputation, and community impact.
This role also provides leadership to two direct reports, fostering a collaborative and community-focused team culture.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement community engagement plans aligned with operational and social performance goals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, Traditional Owners, government, and local organisations.
Represent the company at community meetings, events, and consultation sessions.
Lead sponsorships and donations programs and support the Sponsorship and Donations Committee.
Develop communication strategies, media releases, newsletters, social media content, and internal materials.
Support government and external relations, including briefings and submissions.
Lead, mentor, and support two direct reports, fostering a collaborative, community-focused team culture.

Anticipates stakeholder expectations and aligns engagement strategies accordingly.

About You
4–8 years' experience in community relations, stakeholder engagement, or communications in mining, energy, or infrastructure.
Experience managing community sponsorships, donations, or investment programs.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including engagement with Indigenous communities.
Highly organised with excellent project management skills.
Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to remote and regional sites.
Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Community Development, Public Relations, or Social Science.
Experience in regional/resource-sector communications and issues management.
