The opportunity
We are looking for a Cloud and Security Engineer to join our Kingsgrove team. This role blends cloud engineering, security, networking, and higher-level support. You will work on Microsoft 365 environments, firewalls, and security controls while acting as an escalation point for complex issues.
This is not a call centre role. Support work is focused on problem solving, root cause fixes, and improving environments.
What you'll do
• Build, secure, and support Microsoft 365 environments.
• Implement and maintain security controls across identity, endpoint, and cloud services.
• Act as an escalation point for cloud, security, and networking issues.
• Support and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and network security controls.
• Improve tenant security posture using Secure Score and best practices.
• Support ASD Essential Eight uplift activities and evidence collection.
• Assist with ISO 27001 controls, risk items, and audit preparation.
• Create clear documentation, runbooks, and diagrams.
About you
• Experience in an MSP or internal IT role.
• Strong Microsoft 365 administration experience.
• Hands-on experience supporting cloud and security platforms.
• Solid networking fundamentals. TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VLANs.
• Experience supporting firewalls such as Fortinet, Sophos, Palo Alto, or Cisco.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Keen to grow deeper into cloud security and engineering.
