What is The Sachin & Adam Channel:
Lead Editor - Sachin & Adam Media
Location: Sydney, Australia (on-site)
Type: Full-time
Sachin & Adam is a modern TV show on YouTube exploring how technology can create a positive impact on the world. Each episode is a thematic deep dive into the nature of a technology - why it matters, who's building it, who it helps & what it changes - told through cinematic, docu-episodic storytelling.
Seaweed that could solve the $1T plastic crisis. Robot brains built by former Stripe executives. Meat grown from a single cell. A founder racing to prevent disease before it starts. AI hearing aids that isolate speech from noise.
That's just some episodes from the last few months.
Next up: quantum computing. Cancer detection with BCIs. AI Drug Design. Virtual power plants. And a pipeline of stories we can't announce yet.
We don't make company profiles. We make episodes about ideas that matter - and we introduce audiences to the pioneers behind them.

Our Ambition: Netflix / Apple TV
Right now we're on YouTube, reaching 100K+ people per month with 5.5M+ impressions in the last year. We want to try make this show the best platform for well researched, visual, tech nuance.
Our goal is to bring this show to streaming platforms - to create a home where a global audience can understand why it's critical we use technology for good, and meet the people making it happen. Every episode we release is a step toward that.
We're looking for an editor who doesn't just want to cut videos. We're looking for someone who wants to help build a show that belongs on a streaming platform.
Your Role: Lead Editor Instilling Taste & Quality Into Episodes
This isn't an assembly line role. You'll take hours of raw footage—interviews, b-roll, location shoots—and find the story inside it. You'll build narrative arcs, set the emotional rhythm, and make creative decisions in post that fundamentally shape how each episode lands. Your instinct for storytelling is as important as your technical skill.
Your closest creative partner will be our director Oscar, who sets the creative treatment for every episode. Oscar brings the vision; you'll shape the narrative in post-production and bring it to life in the edit. Together, you'll push each other to create work that feels like it belongs on Netflix — not just YouTube.
You'll also work directly with Tom, who produces the show, manages the episode pipeline, timelines, and sponsorship delivery. Tom will be your go‐to for priorities, deadlines, and the operational rhythm of production.
You'll be based in our Sydney office alongside Sachin and Adam, so there's plenty of day‐to‐day interaction with the hosts. You'll be joining a creative team of 30 — including engineers, creative strategists, and operators building our stealth marketing product, launching later this year. It's an environment where your taste and standards will shape the work well beyond the edit suite. We're here to help tech startups prove why they matter.
What You'll Be Doing
* Editing long‐form episodes (15‐30 min) and standalone interviews end‐to‐end
* Working hand‐in‐hand with Oscar to execute and elevate the creative vision for each episode — pacing, tone, structure, and visual storytelling
* Building narrative arcs from hours of raw footage—finding the emotional throughline that makes a viewer care about the technology and the people behind it
* Colour grading, sound design, and motion graphics/titles to a standard that feels broadcast‐ready
* Integrating sponsor segments into episodes in a way that feels native to the story
* Cutting social clips and short‐form content from long‐form episodes
* Managing your own editing pipeline across multiple concurrent projects with Tom
What We're Looking For
Must‐haves:
* Interest in technology, science or the impact of innovation on society
* A strong portfolio of documentary‐style, long‐form, or YouTube editing work
* Proficiency in any editing platform
* A sharp eye for narrative storytelling — you know how to make an audience feel something
* The ability to take a creative brief from a director and elevate it
* Comfortable working autonomously and managing your own deadlines across multiple episodes
* Sydney‐based and happy to work from the office
* Comfortable with the pace of a content calendar backed by active sponsor commitments
Great‐to‐haves:
* Animation & motion design capabilities
* Experience with DaVinci Resolve for colour grading
Why Build With Us
* Help build a show, not just edit videos. We're creating something that doesn't exist yet—a modern TV show about the most important technology being built today. You'll shape what it looks and feels like.
* Streaming‐quality ambitions. We're building toward streaming platforms. The bar is high and the work matters. Every episode should feel like it belongs there.
* Work with a brilliant director. You'll work hand‐in‐hand with Oscar to push the creative standard on every episode. This is a genuine creative partnership, not an assembly line.
* Extraordinary stories, every week. Our episodes feature pioneers in AI, robotics, biotech, quantum computing, and more. You'll be immersed in these stories every day.
* Ground floor of something big. We've grown 276% in impressions year‐on‐year. The team is small, the opportunity is massive, and your fingerprints will be all over it.
How to Apply
Send your portfolio and a short note on why this role excites you to tom@kindlingtech.co.
Bonus points if you include a breakdown of an edit you're proud of—what was the raw footage like, what story did you find in it, and what decisions did you make to bring it to life.
