Policy Leadership Position

Your Role and Responsibilities:
* Conduct high-level research and provide expert advice on state and national early education and care policy initiatives, issues, and risks.
* Contribute to policy analysis, including consultation activities, and develop policy proposals that align with the department's vision.
* Prepare and submit written materials, such as briefings, reports, and Cabinet submissions, to senior executives and decision-makers.
You will work closely with other policy officers to identify, analyze, and progress strategic issues, formulate innovative solutions, and provide strategic advice to senior officials. Additionally, you will undertake data analysis, develop analytical tools, and synthesize complex information into clear outputs.
About You:
* A strong background in performance improvement, policy, evaluation, or data analysis, with high-level proficiency in Excel and PowerBI.
* Flexibility to work across multiple programs and projects.
* Excellent writing and oral communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
* Strong attention to detail, coordination skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
