About the role
West Coast Conveyor Services is seeking an experienced Conveyor Technician with a minimum 5 years Belt Splicing and Belt Scraper experience to join our team on a full-time on 15/13 roster in WA. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and coordinate the safe and efficient splicing of conveyor belts and maintenance of Belt Scrapers ensuring optimal performance and minimising downtime.
What you'll be doing
* Conveyor lifecycle improvement recommendations
* Breakdown Response
* Conveyor System Planned Maintenance (PM) inspections
* Shutdown Maintenance Tasks
What we're looking for
* Significant experience (5+ years) in a belt splicing or conveyor maintenance role within the mining industry
* Strong technical expertise in the field of belt splicing, including knowledge of various splicing techniques and equipment
* Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and troubleshooting skills
* Thorough understanding of relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
* Proficient in the use of belt splicing tools and equipment
* Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
* Willingness to work in a 15/13 roster environment
* Driver's License
