About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced WHSE Officer to support our organisation through a period of sustained growth and operational expansion.
Reporting to the Group Head of Health, Safety & Sustainability, this role partners closely with Project Managers, Field Team Leaders and field-based teams, providing practical, risk-based WHS advice and helping embed strong safety capability across the business.
A key focus of the role is supporting the development, implementation and scalability of the Integrated Management System (IMS) and myosh, ensuring systems, processes and data remain effective, consistent and fit-for-purpose as the organisation grows nationally.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
WHS Management Systems & Assurance
* Support preparation for ISO certification and surveillance audits, including coordination of internal audits and corrective actions
* Contribute to the ongoing development, standardisation and continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS)
* Ensure consistent implementation of IMS and myosh frameworks across projects, regions and business units
Risk & Operational Safety Management
* Coordinate the development, review and continuous improvement of site safety documentation
* Identify emerging hazards associated with new projects, locations or work methods and support risk assessments and controls
* Provide clear, practical and risk-based WHS advice to leaders and workers
Incident, Injury & Return to Work Support
* Assist with incident reporting, investigations and trend analysis, identifying systemic improvement opportunities
* Support managers with Return to Work (RTW) and injury management processes
* Contribute to the development of preventative safety initiatives based on incident and injury data
Contractor, Asset & Compliance Management
* Coordinate contractor pre-qualification, inductions and ongoing compliance monitoring
* Support management of plant, equipment, fleet and maintenance schedules, including emergency drills and exercises
* Ensure WHS and environmental compliance across offices, projects and field operations
Training, Capability & Engagement
* Coordinate employee and contractor inductions aligned to organisational and site-specific risks
* Prepare and maintain Toolbox Talks and safety communications relevant to operational and seasonal risks
* Identify training needs and support the coordination of WHS training and competency development
About you:

Essential Experience:
* Minimum Cert IV OH&S/WHS qualification
* Construction site safety experience essential
* Telecommunications construction experience preferred but not essential
