Offer description

The Role
Gecko Cleantech is seeking a dependable, detail-focused Accounts Administrator to join their Goulburn office. This is a hands-on role supporting the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of the business.
This role is fully office-based due to the nature of the work. However, our client offers flexibility in hours and can accommodate either full-time or school hours for the right candidate.
This is a small, family-run business with a close-knit team, including the Directors who are hands-on in the business. You'll work closely with the directors and play a key role in keeping processes organised and running smoothly. This position suits someone who enjoys being part of a collaborative, down-to-earth team and takes pride in their work, but also someone who has a mature approach to work and a good sense of humour!
Key Responsibilities
* Reconciling bank feeds and ensuring transactions are accurately recorded
* Accurate data entry into the accounting system, including:
o Sales orders (approximately 10-20 per day)
o Purchase orders (approximately 20-30 per week)
o Supplier invoices (processed accurately and in a timely manner)
* Creating delivery notes and tax invoices from sales orders
* Processing vendor and supplier applications, including onboarding and maintaining records
* Managing vendor and supplier relationships and responding to information requests
* Supporting freight management and logistics coordination (e.g. tracking shipments, liaising with suppliers and carriers)
* Managing shared Inbox relating to accounts receivable and payable queries from customers and suppliers.
* Light accounts receivable follow-up, including friendly payment reminders where required (low volume, relationship-focused approach)
* Filing and records management (digital and physical)
* Assisting with research tasks and minor projects
* Supporting the directors and management team with accountability and administrative coordination
About You
* Minimum 3 - 5+ years' experience in accounts administration, or similar
* Experience using accounting software (e.g. Xero, MYOB, or similar)
* Strong attention to detail, particularly in reconciliation and invoice processing
* Well-organised with the ability to manage a consistent workflow and deadlines
* Comfortable working closely with leadership in a small team environment
* A mature, professional approach with a down-to-earth attitude
* Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
* Clear and professional communication skills
* Confident in managing email correspondence with customers and suppliers
What We Offer
* Flexible working hours (full-time or school hours to suit your needs)
* A supportive, close-knit team environment
* Direct exposure to business operations
* Opportunity to grow with a purpose-driven company with good family values
* A role where your contribution is visible and appreciated
