We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our weekend team, working Friday to Monday, supporting production through mechanical maintenance, breakdown response, and preventative servicing.
About the Role
You will play a key role in ensuring mechanical systems, plant equipment, and greenhouse infrastructure operate efficiently and safely across weekend production. This role is critical in minimising downtime and maintaining continuous operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Respond to mechanical breakdowns and urgent maintenance issues
* Perform preventative maintenance on plant, pumps, motors, and equipment
* Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in a fast-paced environment
* Support continuous operation of greenhouse systems and infrastructure
* Complete maintenance work orders accurately and on time
* Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with WHS standards
* Work independently across weekend operations (Friday–Monday)
* Support operational uptime and minimise production disruption
About You
* Trade qualified Fitter / Mechanical Trade (essential)
* Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or agricultural environments
* Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
* Experience with pumps, conveyors, and plant equipment
* Ability to work autonomously on weekend shifts
* Strong safety focus and attention to detail
* CMMS experience (desirable)
