The Area Business Manager plays a pivotal role in the pharmaceutical industry, responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key customers within assigned geographic territories. This strategic position involves delivering clinically focused selling messages to drive revenue growth and expand brand-share.
Key Responsibilities:
* Engage with allergy/immunology customers to introduce, launch, and grow brand-share and revenue by presenting compelling sales narratives.
* Cultivate strong working relationships with medical experts, biologic coordinators, office staff, and patient advocacy support groups to foster effective collaboration.
* Develop and execute local promotional speaker programs to enhance visibility and credibility.
* Maintain and optimize budget allocation to support execution of strategies and tactics.
* Pursue opportunities to participate in industry-related congresses, meetings, and medical conferences to stay informed and network.
* Establish thought leadership in assigned territory by driving customer value through expert insights and guidance.
Essential Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sales.
* Ability to travel as necessary for meetings, trainings, and programs.
* Proven success record of consistent sales performance in complex markets.
* Valid driver's license.
Desirable Qualifications:
* 2+ years of experience selling sub-cutaneous self-injectable biologics in a complex market.
* Background in selling asthma or immunology disorders such as atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, multiple sclerosis, crohn's disease, or ulcerative colitis.
* Experience in product launches, especially in specialty care and biologics.
* Alliance/matrix partnership experience.
* Advanced clinical selling skills.
* Results-driven individual with a track record of success in product launches.
