Services Overview:
The Medicare Mental Health Services are free and do not require an appointment, referral or Medicare card to visit a Medicare Mental Health Centre.
The new services in Launceston, Devonport, Burnie and Outer Hobart are co-funded by the Australian and Tasmanian Governments, to provide a streamlined approach to support better mental health and social wellbeing across the country.
We tailor our services to meet the specific needs of the community in Tasmania, providing a combination of peer-led recovery and clinical support.

* A full-time, permanent opportunity based in Hobart, TAS

Role Requirements:
* Mental Health Clinician responsible for brief and ongoing interventions and collaborative care plans
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with other clinicians to develop services consistent with best practice standards
Clinical Expertise:
* Registered Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Mental Health Nurse, or AASW registered Social Worker
* Proven judgment and evaluation skills demonstrating assessment and care planning
* Sound understanding of public, non-government, and private mental health systems and programs
* Demonstrated interpersonal skills showing ability and sensitivity to work with individuals who have or are at risk of developing a mental illness
* Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
* Proven understanding of duty of care, rights to privacy and confidentiality
Additional Requirements:
* Eligibility to apply for or current holding of WWCC
* Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
* Vaccination against COVID-19 is a requirement for all positions
