About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Commercial Project Manager who is hands on and has a portfolio of completed jobs in Queensland. The role will be managing multiple million-dollar projects at the same time, while ensuring production schedules and costs are to budget, and contract variations are minimised.
Project examples may include but not limited to; shopping centre builds from scratch, refurbs, extensions, and fit outs.
Project locations are in Townsville and surrounding suburbs.
Tasks and Responsibilities
* Being able to work with architects and planning team to ensure designs and working drawings are practical and design efficient and fit for purpose
* Must be able to develop and assist with building budgets and development approvals
* Has to assist and obtain Building approvals
* Scheduling of production and trades
* Tender and let trade packages
* Has to be able to communicate successfully with major and minor tenants
* Follow WPH&S regulations
Skills and Experience
* This is a site-based project management role, you must be able to operate onsite, not from a business office offsite
* Previous experience the same role with a portfolio of completed projects in QLD
* Strong knowledge of Queensland contract law and construction regulations
* Proficiency in managing cost systems, claims, and compliance documentation
* High-level negotiation and communication skills
* Strong analytical and financial acumen
* Adaptability and leadership under pressure.
* Current C class driver's licence.
