ICT Helpdesk Technician
We are currently seeking a Helpdesk Technician to provide support for a large Government School based in Wodonga.
This role presents an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team, offering support for a variety of leading-edge technologies, including servers, networks, storage, desktops, mobile devices, and more.
The Role:
As an ICT Support Technician working within our existing IT team, your responsibilities will include providing 1st level technical support to staff and students, logging support requests with vendors, and overseeing the tracking, procurement, and allocation of assets.
This is a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, and we are looking for individuals with excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with a strong desire to learn on the job.
Responsibilities:
* Support the 1-1 student Notebook program, including diagnosing and logging warranty and insurance jobs.
* Set up and configure desktops, notebooks, and mobile devices for both new and existing staff and students.
* Utilize the IT Service Desk ticketing system to monitor and promptly address lodged tickets.
* Provide support for networking and server equipment.
* Contribute to the development of documentation for reference by end users and IT staff.
Skills and Experience:
* Highly effective communication, interpersonal, and planning skills, especially in delivering quality customer service to all our customers (staff, students, and parents).
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to provide both remote and onsite support.
* Strong team collaboration skills.
* Willingness to learn from senior technicians.
* Driver's license and the ability to travel and work at remote sites.
A position is available for an immediate start for the right individual. Previous helpdesk experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
