Technical Sales / Product Manager

With sales approaching $150 Million, over 50 years of industrial experience and a strong market position in Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia and South Africa We seek a Technical Sales / Product Engineer to assist our rapidly growing Materials Handling business with a focus on the Mining Industry.
HMA Materials Handling Division specialises in the design, manufacture, assembly, service and commissioning of both Rail and Material Handling products.
Primary markets include Minerals processing, Rail Maintenance Providers and Mining Operations.
As part of the wider HMA Group of companies, our resources include sales and engineering offices in all major industrial regions of Australia with primary manufacturing sites located in Brisbane, Mackay, Wyong (Central Coast), Lane Cove, Singleton, Bayswater, Morwell and Perth.
THE ROLE
We seek a Technical Sales / Product Manager to join our Central Coast team to assist in providing innovative technical and sales support to our customers and external Sales offices. The role will be based in our Berkeley Vale head office. Your responsibilities will include:
* Product Selection and System concept Design
* Preparation of quotations and tenders
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including clients, contractors, consultants, local authorities and other team members in the group
* Preparation of technical responses to customer queries
* Technical and Sales support to the external Sales Team
* Correspondence with key suppliers and customers
* Contract and Project Management
* Domestic and Overseas travel to regional offices / customers may be required
ABOUT YOU
Ideally the successful candidate will have a strong trade or engineering aptitude with a Technical or Tertiary qualification in either electrical, mechanical engineering or related field. Your technical ability and sales experience together with your enthusiasm, strong communication skills both written and verbal, ability to manage and prioritise workload, commitment and a desire to succeed mean you are the ideal candidate for this technical sales role. This role would suit a Technical person or an individual who has worked for several years and wants a more challenging career.
