Principal Strategic Advisor - Leadership Role
The Principal Strategic Advisor plays a key leadership role in supporting the Guardian to meet their statutory responsibilities. The role involves providing high-level analysis, advice and leadership to contribute policy leadership across the Guardian and their various mandates.
The successful candidate will be responsible for consulting and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, managing projects and organisational systems, and preparing high level strategic advice, reports, submissions, and briefings about complex and sensitive matters.
This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) ongoing position that requires the ability to contribute directly to state and national strategic processes. The ideal candidate must have regard to the views of children and young people in the child protection and youth justice systems and pay particular attention to the needs and circumstances of those identified for particular attention in relevant statues.

Qualifications and Experience
* Tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline e.g. youth justice, social work, psychology, social sciences, government investigations, law or public policy, or equivalent relevant experience.
* Special conditions apply, including gaining a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check and undertaking the Safe Environments for Children and Young People 'Through their Eyes' training course.
Remuneration
$127,859 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading
