Your new role
As Coordinator Public Relations, you'll lead a high-performing team and drive strategic communication initiatives that enhance reputation, build trust, and foster community connection. Reporting to a senior executive, you'll shape messaging across internal and external platforms, ensuring alignment with organisational values and priorities.
Key responsibilities include:
* Designing and executing proactive public relations strategies
* Advising on media, marketing, digital trends, and brand alignment
* Ensuring consistent and engaging messaging across all channels
* Building strong relationships with media, stakeholders, and government bodies
* Managing budgets, governance, and operational performance
* Leading, mentoring, and developing a skilled communications team
What you'll need to succeed
You're an experienced communications professional with a passion for public engagement and strategic storytelling. Your leadership style is collaborative, and you thrive in fast-paced environments where reputation and relationships matter.
* A degree in communications, public relations, media, or marketing, or 5+ years' experience in a similar role
* Demonstrated success in leading integrated communications strategies
* Strong writing and editing skills across various media formats
* Experience in brand management, social media, and stakeholder engagement
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Adobe Creative Suite and Wordpress are a plus
* A current Queensland C class driver's licence
