— The Consortium of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has been selected to build South Australia's biggest‐ever road infrastructure project. In partnership with the South Australian Government, this consortium forms the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, which will deliver the final 10.5 km section of the North‐South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non‐stop, traffic‐light‐free motorway and contributing to a long‐lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide. The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels—Southern Tunnels and Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway—combined total distance 10.5 km, open to traffic in 2031. It comprises tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction, services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The Alliance is committed to providing opportunities for local people, Aboriginal workers, apprentices, trainees and long‐term unemployed job seekers.
