Business Development Representative (Hospitality)
We’re seeking a Business Development Representative to join our Hospitality Sales team at our Sydney office. Your primary responsibility will be to drive revenue growth by generating and qualifying leads for the sales department. You will serve as the initial contact point in the sales process for potential customers.
Lightspeed’s Outbound team is experiencing rapid growth. Our processes have been refined and optimized on a smaller scale over the past few years, and now we are expanding our team and outreach. We are looking for individuals who love selling, delighting customers, and have a natural affinity for technology.
Responsibilities:
* Prospect and identify new business opportunities via phone, email, and in-person communication, reaching out to decision-makers to present our services.
* Engage and qualify new leads through various channels such as phone, email, text, and social media.
* Coordinate with our Account Executive team to book demonstrations of our platforms for prospective customers.
* Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to develop new growth strategies based on market insights.
* Consistently meet monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
Qualifications:
* Experience in a sales or call center environment, particularly in target-based roles.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills, including active listening and clear verbal and written communication.
* Tech-savvy with a willingness to assist less tech-savvy customers.
* Entrepreneurial, agile mindset with a bias for action and adaptability to meet business needs.
* Experience with Retail or Hospitality POS systems or technology is a plus but not required.
