About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team. As a Personal Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance to individuals with daily living tasks.
Responsibilities include:
* Assisting clients with transfers in and out of bed and wheelchairs, using hoists when required.
* Providing personal care including grooming, bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, bladder and bowel management.
* Basic wound care and self-medication.
* Domestic support such as meal preparation, light household duties and laundry.
* Community access, such as driving to appointments and social activities.
Requirements
* You will have an empathetic nature, positive attitude and be able to communicate honestly and effectively with clients.
* You will treat others with dignity, respect and without judgment.
* You will be able to work independently.
Experience is not required for this role, as we provide extensive training through our Registered Nurses & Key Support Workers.
You must hold a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle, a smartphone device, a current NDIS Workers Screening Card (Yellow Card) and/or a Working with Children Check (Blue Card), or willingness to obtain, and completion of the NDIS Workers Orientation Module, or willingness to complete.
