Iconic Australian Food Alternative - Ourimbah, Central Coast, NSW Location. Full-time role. We are on the look-out for an experienced Shift Manager with strong organisational and leadership capabilities to support our Restaurant Manager in managing the customer service team at our Ourimbah bakery, on the Central Coast, NSW. Our front-of-house team take pride in providing outstanding service and premium coffee, in a welcoming and efficient environment. Our Shift Manager will be leading our team through busy periods, station training, proactively improving customer experience, and supporting with ordering and rostering as required. Our bakery is open 7 days a week and our Managers' need to have availability between the hours of 5AM - 10PM. Tasks and responsibilities - Support the Restaurant Manager in the successful day to day running of our high-volume bakery business, ensuring an exceptional customer experience. - Lead and manage shifts (5-10 people), motivating our team to ensure a consistently friendly & efficient customer experience, upholding our company values and brand standards. - Lead "by example" - maintain high levels of professionalism and personal presentation, be happy to "roll up your sleeves" with the rest of the team. - Train and develop staff to create a powerful team. - Maintain a safe work environment in relation to OHS/WHS and food safety & hygiene. - Ensure procedures, policies and high standards are carefully adhered to at all times. - Additional management tasks such as rostering, ordering, training, etc, as required, to keep the restaurant running smoothly. As a Shift Manager, you’ll be key to success behind every shift. From leading and managing your team and ensuring exceptional customer service, to making sure everything runs smoothly, you’ll take ownership and responsibility of shift operations. About you: - You have great customer service experience. - You must have management experience and preferably have managed teams of up to 10 people in previous roles. - You are prepared to work weekends and evenings, as required by the business. - You can confidently manage a team, including directing, disciplining and providing encouragement. You can effectively lead a team, with the ability to create a motivated team environment. - You are willing to work with industrial ovens. - You have worked in either retail, hospitality or QSR. - You have high energy and initiative levels. - You have a friendly, outgoing personality. - You are reliable. - You are a quick learner and fast on your feet. - Have a Basic Food Handlers Certificate or have one before starting employment. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Why Join Heatherbrae's Pies Be part of a values-led business, providing an independent Australian dining alternative.
