As an IT Network Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting mission planning systems, including Electronic Flight Bag. This position requires technical expertise and advice to deliver secure, compliant, and accredited IT systems.
Responsibilities:
* Perform network administration duties for maintaining a deployable IT network and associated ICT infrastructure.
* Manage the evolution of hardware, data, tools, and processes in fixed and deployed IT environments.
* Deploy, configure, maintain, and upgrade server and workstation infrastructure.
* Monitor and manage network infrastructure, including routers and switches.
* Apply host-based firewall configuration and management to ensure security of remote devices in a deployed network.
* Maintain internal virtual environments to support software development, testing, and provide operational support.
* Ensure network peripheral devices such as printers and scanners remain functional.
* Monitor network backups and implement recovery procedures if required.
* Maintain network security, treat, and report security breaches.
* Install, configure, test, and deploy system software.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Current AGSVA security clearance – NV1 or higher.
* Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in IT support roles with at least two years' experience providing System Administration services in Australian Federal Government Departments, preferably within the Defence framework.
* Tertiary or vocational qualifications in Network and Systems Administration / IT Engineering and Architecture.
* Demonstrable experience with Dell hardware, network protocols, MS Windows Server Platforms, VMware vSphere ESXi Hypervisor, and Management Console.
* Data Backup and Recovery Procedures and Software.
* Mobile Device Management, and software development environments.
