Blissful Support Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Access Support Worker to join our team in Shepparton, VIC on a casual basis. In this role, you will provide essential support services to our clients in the aged and disability sectors, helping them access and participate in their local community.
What you'll be doing
* Assisting clients with daily living activities and personal care needs to enable them to live independently
* Accompanying clients to appointments, social activities, and community events to facilitate their inclusion and participation
* Providing support and encouragement to clients to develop their skills and independence
* Maintaining detailed client records and reporting on client progress
* Collaborating with other support workers, healthcare professionals, and family members to ensure a coordinated approach to client care
What we're looking for
* A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar community support or aged care role
* A genuine passion for supporting the disabled community
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
* Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
* A current First Aid certificate and a National Police Check
