Job Summary:
We are seeking a candidate who can provide excellent care and support to our residents. The successful applicant will have a genuine caring attitude towards residents and families, with the ability to work well as a team member and with volunteers.
About the Role:
* To provide Diversional Therapy or equivalent qualification or experience as a Lifestyle Assistant in an aged care setting
* To assist with daily living tasks and activities for residents
* To maintain accurate records and reports of resident's observations and results using software technology
* To ensure infection control measures are implemented and maintained
* To work effectively with colleagues, management, and external parties to achieve organisational goals
Requirements:
* Demonstrated experience in providing care and support to residents
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Able to work with minimum supervision and adapt to new systems and processes
* Good literacy and numeracy skills (reading, writing, and maths)
* Familiarity with The Charter of Residents Rights and Responsibilities
* Current First Aid Certificate
* Unrestricted rights to work within Australia for an extended period of time
Preferred Qualifications:
* Diversional Therapy or equivalent qualification
* Experience in documenting observations and results using software technology
