The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced workshop leader to join our business in Perth's northern suburbs to support our management team in leading a thriving workshop.
This is an excellent position for an experienced 2iC looking for an opportunity to join a professional business that offers work-life balance or an experienced mechanic looking for to progress their career into management.
Working closely with the Service Centre Manager, your duties will include:
- Service, repair and diagnose all makes and models of cars and 4x4s.
- Perform general servicing, preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs.
- Vehicle inspections, fault finding and use of diagnostic equipment.
- Brake, suspension, steering and transmission repairs.
- Maintain accurate job cards and service records.
- Ensure workshop organisation, cleanliness and adherence to safety procedures.
- Quality control checks on completed work.
- 2IC duties – assist with workflow management, lead and support team members, and provide apprentice training.

What We're Looking For
Current Trade Certificate – Auto Mechanics, Level 3 and above – Essential.
Minimum 3 years' experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic.
Experience in replacing timing belts, clutches and head gaskets would be preferable.
A professional and reliable attitude – Essential.
Ability to take direction and willingness to learn.
Loyalty and accountability – Essential.
Compliant with WH&S; rules, regulations and procedures.
Ability to train, mentor and support apprentices and junior mechanics.
Excellent communication skills to liaise with management, team members and customers when required.
Effective time management skills and able to priorities multiple responsibilities.
