Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced warehouse professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a first-class distribution service to our customers within the state. This involves picking and processing orders in a timely manner, ensuring that they meet their destination based on delivery schedules.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They should also possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to provide exceptional customer service.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
* Learning all roles within the warehouse and distribution functions to be able to work in any area as required by the Distribution Manager.
* Stock control - inwards & outwards goods. Ensuring processes are followed by all staff and the appropriate checks are performed for all stock coming into the Warehouse and going out via Customer orders and internal deliveries.
* Pick all battery orders as per picking slip.
* Prepare each individual order, date stamp all batteries and label with destination.
* Report any hazard that appears unsafe to the Distribution Manager.
* Ensure that the Warehouse is kept in a clean and tidy state at all times. Remove any damaged batteries and ensure all leaking batteries are contained in a plastic container to avoid spillage.
Requirements
* A Class 'C' Driver Licence
* Forklift Licence
* Customer Service Skills
* Ability to work within a team environment
* Ability to follow instructions accurately
