What's the role?
We’re looking for an experienced picture editor to help manage our team of photographers and videographers.
This hands-on role involves coordinating shoots in a high-pressure news environment to ensure the team delivers quality photos and videos we can publish across print and digital.
You must work to multiple daily deadlines and the role includes weekend work.
Responsibilities:
* Help lead a team of photographers and videographers.
* Ensure high quality photos and videos are delivered daily for print and online.
* Collaborate with colleagues to identify story ideas that engage our audience.
* Have strong and creative ideas and keep across the latest video trends.
* Ensure that all journalistic and legal standards are followed.
Who are you?
* You are interested in news and current affairs.
* You have experience as a videographer/photographer.
* You thrive on pressure and deadlines.
* You work quickly and efficiently.
* You have a strong understanding of social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
* You have good communication, leadership, and time management skills.
* You can take direction but also show initiative.
