About the Opportunity:
Our new glass factory in Yatala is our largest investment to date. It will recycle up to 200,000 tonnes of Queensland glass each year to produce 1 billion bottles. With advanced machinery and control systems, we ensure efficient, high-quality production. Located next to our box and can plants, the site will form a beverage container precinct, supporting customers and creating new job opportunities.
What you will do:
As a Workshop Fitter, you'll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and preparation of all mould gear and ancillaries. You'll work closely with the Mould Maintenance Manager, Production, and Quality teams to ensure moulds meet strict standards and are ready for use when needed.
Full Training provided through the Visy Training Academy
Day shift: Monday to Friday (8h shift)
Up to $56.38 per hour (plus OT) depending on experience
One Year completion bonus of $2500

In this role you will:
Maintain, repair, and prepare mould equipment and tooling
Perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and support root cause analysis
Ensure moulds meet quality specifications and production timelines
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support seamless operations
Contribute to continuous improvement and process optimisation
Support training and compliance with safety protocols
What you will bring to the team:
Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (toolmaking experience an advantage)
Experience in manufacturing or heavy industry
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to read technical drawings and follow maintenance schedules
Familiarity with safety standards and a proactive safety mindset
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
