About the Role: Reporting to the Managing Director in a standalone Bookkeeping role your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Processing and preparing fortnightly payroll, ensuring accuracy in pay rates, deductions, and superannuation contributions. Completing and lodging Business Activity Statements (BAS) in line with tax regulations and deadlines. Managing accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payments, and follow-ups on overdue accounts. Conducting bank reconciliations to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. Keeping the general ledger updated and ensuring all transactions are properly recorded. Assisting in the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports to assess the company’s financial performance. Ensuring accurate tax reporting and aiding in the preparation of annual tax returns. Coordinating with external accountants for tax planning, audits, and other financial matters. Providing administrative and clerical support as required.
