Deputy Project Manager
This is a challenging role that involves providing support to the Deputy Project Management statement of work at a DSS Skill Level 3. The ideal candidate will be able to work under limited direction to perform and achieve moderately complex tasks within an integrated workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Developing High-Quality Documentation: Developing high-quality, reliable documentation to capture key information in the Capability Life Cycle (CLC) for timely and effective capability decisions.
2. Project Coordination and Delivery: Assisting in the coordination, ongoing management, and delivery of project tasks and milestones.
3. Integration and Consistency: Ensuring integration and consistency in managing multiple projects and schedules across the Branch and Air Combat Program (ACP) sub-programs.
4. Supporting Multidisciplinary Teams: Supporting multidisciplinary project teams within the ACP, including coordination of project activities, strategic planning, resource management, and prioritization.
5. Schedule, Risk, Budget Management: Managing schedules, risks, budgets, and preparing briefings, submissions, reports, and progress updates in accordance with organizational requirements.
6. Clear Direction and Goals: Providing clear direction and articulating goals to achieve project and sub-program objectives.
7. Stakeholder Relationships: Managing stakeholder relationships to understand requirements and expectations, minimizing risks to scope, schedule, and budget.
8. Mentoring and Training: Supporting the development of the ACP sub-program team through mentoring, training, and professional development.
9. Alignment with Governance Frameworks: Ensuring alignment with project governance frameworks, including reporting tools and functionality.
10. Legislation and Policies: Identifying and applying relevant legislation, policies, strategies, and business requirements.
11. Complex Issues Engagement: Engaging and negotiating with stakeholders on complex issues to achieve business outcomes.
Essential Qualifications:
* Aircraft Advice and Counsel: Providing aviation advice and counsel for briefs and submissions, including to CAF and USAF.
* Hypersonics/SciFire Experience: Demonstrated experience in Hypersonics/SciFire.
* NV2 Clearance: Active NV2 clearance (TSPV desirable).
