Band 6 Salary Range: $97,245.14 - $ per annum plus industry and maintenance allowances and 12% superannuation.

Latrobe City Council has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Supervisor Sporting Reserves Maintenance to lead the delivery of high-quality sports turf and playing surfaces across our municipality.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the day-to-day management, coordination and delivery of sports turf maintenance practices across all Latrobe City sporting reserves. You will provide leadership, direction and on-the-job training to the Sporting Reserves Maintenance team, ensuring services are delivered in line with Council plans, strategies, policies, procedures, standards and key performance indicators.
About The Role
In this role, you will:
Lead and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Sporting Reserves Maintenance team, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality service deliveryPlan and oversee sports turf maintenance programs across all Latrobe City sporting reservesAssist with the preparation and presentation of playing surfaces for local, regional and elite sporting events, including summer and winter finals series, WBBL & BBL, AFLW & AFLProvide leadership, direction, coaching and training to staff to build capability and performanceWork collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders to support the delivery of services aligned to the Latrobe City Council PlanEnsure all resources are effectively utilised, issues are identified and addressed within required timeframes, and customer service standards are metPromote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements and minimising risk to staff and the public
About You
You are a confident leader with a strong background in sports turf management and a passion for delivering high-quality playing surfaces for the community. You will bring:
A Diploma or other formal qualification in Horticulture (Turf), Sports Turf Management or a related field, and/or extensive relevant experienceDemonstrated knowledge of sports turf maintenance requirements and a commitment to high presentation standardsProven experience leading teams delivering sports turf or open space maintenance servicesAbility to provide on-the-job training and technical guidance to staffA current Chemical Spraying LicenceA current Victorian Driver’s LicenceA current Industry White Card
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
Medium Rigid (MR) LicenceExperience in cricket pitch maintenance and preparationTraffic Control and Worksite Management certificationCertificate in Workplace Supervision or Leadership
