Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Job Summary
The role of a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic involves performing maintenance, fault diagnosis, repairs, and assembly on heavy vehicles and mobile equipment.
This position requires the ability to complete all maintenance and service tasks on fleet vehicles, diagnose and repair faults promptly, and attend breakdowns and emergencies. Additionally, the candidate must be able to dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, and other components, as well as assemble heavy vehicles and mobile equipment.
The successful applicant will maintain the cleanliness and professional presentation of the workshop at all times and follow and comply with all safety and onsite OHSW procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance and service tasks on fleet vehicles
* Diagnose and repair faults in a timely manner
* Attend to breakdowns and emergencies as required
* Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, and other components
* Assemble heavy vehicles and mobile equipment
* Ensure the workshop is maintained in a clean and professional state at all times

Requirements:
* C Class driver's license is mandatory for this role
* Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology is essential
* Significant experience in heavy vehicle mechanics is required
* Basic knowledge of electronic diagnostic equipment is necessary
* Understanding of NHVAS requirements is also required
