Your New Role:
One of our Government sector clients is looking for a Cyber Resilience and Disaster Recovery Planning Specialist will work with the team to protect and securing the assets that are in scope of the agencies Information Security Management System.
The Cyber Resilience and Disaster Recovery Planning Specialist needs to have previously worked on Disaster Recovery and cyber resilience projects and should be able to come with a consultative approach to help the agency set up future standard.
It’s an initial 3 month contract and with the new financial year there will be 6 months extensions.
Your responsibilities include the following but are not limited to:
3. Develop and implement cyber resilience, cyber security incident response, and disaster recovery policies, plans, standard operating procedures and frameworks in line with best practice standards across.
4. Develop and lead a technical assurance program to verify business readiness and effectiveness to prevent, prepare, respond to and recover from disruptive events.
5. Champion continuous improvement through documentation and process reviews in line with best practice methodology, exploring and developing new capabilities and providing subject matter expert (SME) to increase the Departments maturity of Disaster Recovery /Business Continuity Planning (DR/BCP) practices.
6. Develop and coordinate scenario testing and provide support in addressing learnings to improve efficiency and effectiveness of DR/BCP practices and processes within the organisation.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
7. technical experience in a cyber resilience or ICT disaster recovery and resilience testing role implementing and adhering to cyber security best practice.
8. experience in developing and leading assurance testing programs in large organisations
9. analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and remediate disaster recovery and cyber resilience risks to an acceptable level.
10. experience presenting to non-technical executive stakeholders on key enterprise or strategic risks.
11. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
