Zig Zag Railway (ZZR) is a well known and much loved tourist railway located near the town of Lithgow in NSW (approximately 90 minutes from western Sydney). We are about to reopen operations, and are seeking a Rollingstock Maintainer to join our small team.
**About the job**:
The Trades Assistant is responsible for helping and supporting the Rollingstock Maintainer and Manager by assisting with maintenance of worksites and equipment. The role also assists with break / fix maintenance and activities as required. The role works within systems associated with defect reporting, execution of repairs and ongoing quality assurance of works.
**About the person**:
We’re looking for someone with previous trades assistant / labouring experience, ideally in a similar environment, and with good mechanical aptitude.
Importantly, we are looking for someone who is a outstanding team player, and is willing and able to take on a variety of work tasks. You’ll need to be physically fit, and be able to obtain Working with Children and National Police checks.
