Fire Apparatus Mechanic – Pump and Aerial Ladders
We are seeking a Fire Apparatus Mechanic – Pump and Aerial Ladders to inspect, test, and repair all types of fire truck aerial ladders and pumps. This role is a road service position requiring excellent customer service skills and a valid driver's license.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform thorough repairs as needed.
2. Inspect each unit for defects, loose parts, or other issues.
3. Verify that equipment is in good working condition after repairs.
4. Review documentation and/or repair orders to ensure accuracy, legibility, and completeness.
5. Record used parts and notify the parts person accordingly.
Requirements & Qualifications:
1. Prior experience with emergency vehicles is an asset.
2. Mechanical knowledge and aptitude in electrical and mechanical systems.
3. Understanding and adherence to Ministry of Transportation rules and regulations.
4. Dependable, hardworking, punctual, reliable, team player with a positive attitude.
Work Schedule: 7:00 am – 4:00 pm
