This is a Casual opportunity with up to 24-32hours of work available per week.We are looking for someone who is flexible with their working hours. Shift times range from 5:45am through to 10pm Monday - Sunday.The Patient Services teams are accountable for the end-to-end patient journey. These key functions include theatre bookings/administration, patient registration, admissions and customer experience, ward reception, health records, patient billings, public contracts and sessional suites.Tasks may include but are not limited to;Patient admission, discharges and transfersWork within an interdisciplinary team environment and is responsible for the efficient, accurate and timely provision of a range of administrative services.Structure clinics for outpatient appointmentsMaintain effective relationship with consultantsMedical record preparation, tracking, filing and maintenanceAssisting with patient billingWayfinding and general enquiries.About youTo be successful in this role, you will possess:Demonstrated ability to work methodically with speed, efficiency, and exceptional attention to detail in a time-pressured environment.Proven experience working in an administrative role within a medical or hospital environment or extensive data entry experience.Sound computer literacy and numeracy skills, well-developed keyboard skills, and familiarity with patient administration systems.Sound written and verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and ability to work under the direction of others in a multidisciplinary team environment.Mater is Queensland's largest not-for-profit healthcare provider, delivering exceptional care to nearly 700,000 patients each year across 11 (soon to be 12) hospitals.
