We're now looking for an experienced, proactive Bookkeeper to join our small, high-performing team on a part-time basis, approximately 2 days per week, for a maternity leave cover starting January through to October months).

About the role
Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll play a key role in keeping the Chamber running smoothly by managing day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration across our organisation.
This role suits someone who is confident, organised, and enjoys being trusted to manage their work independently while being part of a close-knit team.
What you'll be doing
* Managing bookkeeping and accounting data across all Chamber business units
* Processing payroll, including PAYG, superannuation and leave entitlements
* Generating invoices for members, partners, events and programs
* Managing debtor receipts, payments and reconciliations
* Reconciling online membership payments via external gateways
* Coding creditors and maintaining clean financial records
* Supporting month-end processes with our external accountant
* Assisting the CEO with financial reporting, budgeting and cashflow forecasting
* Providing light corporate and reception support as needed.
About you
You're someone who has solid bookkeeping experience with strong attention to detail and confidence using multiple applications such as Xero, CRM and web transaction portals. Professional, trustworthy and highly organised, you take pride in producing accurate, timely work and enjoy being part of an organisation that has real impact in the community.
Qualified in Accounting or equivalent experience, you will bring strong numeracy and literacy skills, experience with payroll and financial administration and a positive, team-first attitude.
Part-time: 2 days per week (approx. 15 hours)
Contract: 7-month maternity leave cover
