Detailed Responsibilities
As a Road Maintenance Officer, your duties will include:
* Undertaking road construction and maintenance activities
* Conducting traffic control duties
* Completing manual works, including roadside maintenance
* Accurately completing all relevant records, including timesheets, pre-start checklists, risk assessments, and other legislative-related paperwork
* Undertaking light plant maintenance and operation on designated items of plant within operator's capabilities and certification
* Participating in site-specific inductions, toolbox meetings, and emergency repair works as required
What Do You Need to Be Successful?
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Construction Induction Certification (White Card)
* A Class C drivers' license
* Effective communication skills with the ability to understand and follow detailed written and verbal instructions
* Demonstrated commitment to a team-based approach, reliability, and punctuality, with a proven ability to work in a team environment
* A positive attitude
Other Requirements
Please note that employment is under the Local Government (State) Award 2023, with a gross weekly wage range of $1044.10 to $1180.50 dependent upon qualifications and experience.
