About The Role
We are seeking a results-oriented State Sales Manager - WA to lead revenue growth, market expansion, and sales performance across Western Australia.
Reporting to the General Manager - Sales (Brisbane) you will lead and develop the sales team, strengthen customer relationships, and execute strategies that deliver measurable growth and sustained performance.
This is a dedicated sales leadership role with full accountability for state budgets, gross profit, market share, and team performance. Operational management sits separately, allowing you to focus entirely on driving commercial outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Own and deliver the WA state sales budget and gross profit targets
* Drive new business development and strategic account growth
* Lead, coach, and performance-manage Territory Managers and Customer Service teams
* Strengthen key customer and industry relationships across the state
* Increase market share through proactive sales strategy and execution
* Analyse sales data, pipeline activity, and KPIs to drive performance improvements
* Collaborate with Operations to ensure smooth customer onboarding and service delivery
* Lead sales training, compliance standards, and effective CRM/system utilisation
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience in state or regional sales leadership (automotive, industrial, distribution or similar sectors preferred)
* Demonstrated success delivering sales budgets, revenue growth, and gross profit performance
* Strong new business development capability and customer relationship management expertise
* Experience leading and developing Territory Managers to exceed targets; ability to motivate, coach, and hold teams accountable
* High commercial acumen, including contract negotiation and strategic account management
* A data-driven mindset, confident using KPIs, sales reporting, and pipeline management
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills with internal and external partners
