Formsetters (2 Positions Available)
Like working outdoors? Proud of building things that last?Mackay Regional Council is looking for two skilled Formsetters to join our Civil Operations team and help maintain and construct Mackay's roads, drainage and civil infrastructure.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Formsetter, you'll be involved in a wide range of civil works, including:
* Constructing and repairing concrete pits, slabs and formwork
* Reading and working from engineering design plans
* Site preparation, set-out, levelling, concrete placement, finishing and curing
* Operating trucks (MR licence), ride-on equipment and light plant
* Assisting with road, drainage and general civil maintenance works
* Installing and removing traffic signage in road reserves
* Completing timesheets and basic paperwork accurately
* Working safely and in line with WH&S and environmental requirements
You'll work under the guidance of a Supervisor or Leading Hand as part of a supportive and experienced team.
What You'll Bring
Essential
* Current General Construction Safety 'White' Card
* QLD Manual C Class Driver Licence
* QLD Medium Rigid (MR) Truck Licence
* Experience in formsetting and concrete works
* Experience in road and drainage construction or maintenance
* Ability to read plans and use dumpy and laser levels
* Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
* Willingness to work overtime when required
Desirable
* Current Traffic Controller ticket
* Experience operating road construction plant and equipment
