Job Overview
The Estimating Manager is responsible for delivering high-quality bids, ensuring seamless contract negotiations and collaboration with the Managing Director.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting strategic growth plans by driving the estimating process for relevant projects.
* Defining subcontract and supply packages through procurement plan compilation.
* Reviewing request for quotes, liaising with subcontractors and suppliers, addressing queries during the tender process.
* Identifying risks and opportunities, overseeing preliminary construction schedules and resource requirements with planners.
* Preparing submission documents, pricing, schedules, and associated QA forms for review.
* Participating in industry, client, and community relations to promote and enhance the company's image and portfolio.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in estimating and securing tenders, a sound understanding of civil engineering principles, proficiency in software programs used in estimating, and excellent leadership, communication skills, customer relations, and negotiation abilities.
