Here at Amazon, we are currently seeking an experienced Operations Shift Manager to join our team at the Delivery Station in Mulgrave, Melbourne. This role involves leading a team of associates to ensure efficient delivery operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leading and developing a team of Amazon associates
2. Maintaining Health and Safety standards and promoting a safety culture
3. Collaborating with support teams such as Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources to meet business goals
4. Identifying and leading process improvements using Lean tools
5. Performing physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, and reaching with varying weights
A Day in the Life
You will be an inspiring leader, working to improve delivery process efficiency, ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective customer order deliveries. You will oversee workflow operations to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Basic Qualifications
* Experience in Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field
* Experience managing sizable teams and motivating others
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including conducting Dive Deep analyses
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Experience with performance metrics and process improvement
* Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
* Authorized to work in Australia without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree or relevant Amazon experience
* Ability to manage ambiguity in a dynamic environment
* Experience with Lean or Kaizen methodologies
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
