Manager of Children's Early Learning Centre
Laverton Community Children's Centre is part of Laverton Community Integrated Services (LCIS), a community-focused, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing Exceeding early childhood education and care across all 7 quality areas. We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Children's Centre Manager to lead our large team and ensure the ongoing success of our 116-place centre.
As the Children's Centre Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the centre. This is an opportunity for a skilled leader with a deep understanding of early childhood education, childcare management, and the unique needs of working in a non-profit setting. You will report directly to the CEO and the Board monthly, providing updates on key activities and developments.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of childcare professionals, ensuring high-quality care and education for all children.
* Oversee daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for children and families.
* Develop and implement policies and procedures in line with industry standards and regulations.
* Implement organisational policies, ensuring compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations.
* Develop and implement regular compliance audits.
* Manage financial aspects, including budgeting, profit and loss statements, and financial reporting.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including PRODA, ARRIVAL, and DE.
* Apply for and manage government grants and funding opportunities.
* Maintain strong relationships with families, staff, and external stakeholders.
* Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that promotes teamwork and professional development.
* Report to the CEO and Board on a monthly basis, ensuring transparency and accountability.
* Report to NQAITS when needed and liaise with the Department of Education.
* Support the leadership team in their support of the educators.
* Oversee both a sessional and an integrated kindergarten setting.
* Maintain a high level of communication with the local council.
