Our client is seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to support the maintenance and repair of water and wastewater treatment plants, infrastructure, and associated machinery.
This role includes assisting with apprentice supervision and delivering high-quality customer service to both internal teams and external clients in Ballina.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair a variety of plant and machinery related to water and wastewater infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems and pumps
- Understand plant operation capabilities and associated maintenance requirements
- Support apprentice supervision
- Maintain a safe work environment
Essential Requirements:
- Relevant trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter
- Extensive experience in maintenance and repair of plant and machinery
- Proven skills in troubleshooting hydraulic systems and pumps
- Strong knowledge of plant operations and maintenance needs
- Construction Industry White Card (Work Safely in the Construction Industry)
- Current immunisation against Hepatitis A and B, or willingness to undergo immunisation
- Demonstrated behaviours aligned with values of creativity, accessibility, respect, energy, and safety
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in welding and fabrication repairs
- Experience with water and wastewater treatment infrastructure and equipment
- MR driver’s licence
- Forklift licence
- Confined Spaces ticket (with ability and willingness to work in confined spaces)
- Safe Working at Heights ticket (with ability and willingness to work at heights)
